Comments:  The night was quite nice with a low in the mid 60s.  Actually saw the Milky Way climb out of the Chicago lightdome to the east at about midnight.  M5 is thought to be one of the oldest globular clusters, with a computed age of 13 billion years.  Its diameter is about 165 light years, making it one of the larger globulars.  M5 is receding from us at about 52 km/sec.
