Comments:  This is a very difficult galaxy to photograph from the Chicago area.  It is very low in the sky.  The night was quite breezy and cold (in the low 20s).  At least the dust of harvest was not as obvious as during the attempt to photograph this galaxy in early October.  I will try for another shot at it in 2003.  The framing of the shot could be improved.  It suffered from difficulty in finding a suitable guide star.

NGC253 is the brightest member of the Sculptor group of galaxies which is located around the South galactic pole.
