Comments:  The Lagoon Nebula contains the cluster NGC 6530 on its east side (left in the image).  The apparent size of M8 corresponds to about 140 x 160 light years if the distance of 5,200 light years is correct. This was the last object to photograph for the night. I only had time to do three five-minute exposures before the sky was brightening. I also noticed some thin, high streamers coming in to the south and lost the guide star. Overall it was quite a productive night. I will finish M8 next month.
