Comments:  This is an updated shot with a 300 mm Olympus lens replacing the shot taken 2 years ago with a 135 mm lens.  This was taken on a night of just excellent seeing for this time of the year.  The night included a real bonus for northern Illinios - a rather nice aurora display that lasted for about 3 hours.  I was really torn between taking aurora shots and setting up for some deep sky work and managed a little of both.  Some of the aurora pictures are available in the aurora gallery.
